NEW
MEETING
PLACE FOR NOVEMBER: Briarcliff
Baptist
Church. Get off at Clairmont
road from I-85 (like you did going to the old location), but at that main
intersection (Briarcliff Road)
turn right (west). You'll go past an
Ed's Grocery Store and a park-like area.
Drive past the Baptist
Church
and take the 1st driveway. Park close to the entrance that says "Office". Inside, look for the "PAL" Sunday
school room. The Church is happy to have
us (according to Marilyn who took the time to set this up for us) and if we
like the location, we'll probably continue to meet here. See you around 7:30 on Friday, November
8th (2nd Friday).
Last month's meeting (at Larry's Lodge) had some
great vintage & current images projected. There was a quick preview to see
how the old Charleston
stereoviews will look for the project Larry and I are
doing for the Convention. Hopefully, we'll have these done in time to present
the finished program to you all. We also
had the "Atlanta Cotton States" program from 1895 that was presented
at the Atlanta Convention in 1995. It was great to see this superb show
again. (I can rave about it since Larry
did all the work...). Larry also
presented his program "Terra Incognita" that was compiled of some
magnificent scenes from places that Larry has visited over the years. This is
well worth seeing again sometime soon.
This month we have COMPETITION NIGHT! So dust off your views and
come prepared to show them off.
Surely you took some over the summer...
Larry will also bring the Viewmaster
projector, so if you have some interesting reels that you would like to see how
they look on the large screen, bring them along.
Marilyn Morton has refreshments for this
month. See ya'll on Friday, November 8th
at the Briarcliff
Baptist
Church.
