Refocus That Please - by Mike Griffith

This month's meeting is the 2nd Friday of the month - DECEMBER 14th! It's our Christmas party/meet. Larry and Julia are in charge of refreshments, but the rest of us are encouraged to bring a little something, if you are so inclined. We do meet this year at the Congregational Church on Clairmont Road, and we should have the large room that we usually gather in. Being so close to Christmas, we may get bumped down the hall, so if you see a strange group in the room (stranger than ours), don't go wandering away, we're in there somewhere...

Larry will bring the Bracket Dissolver for open projector night, so if anyone wants to bring some slides just to show, or see what they look like projected, feel free.  Steve Hughes might bring his Las Vegas Blimp shots he talked about last month.  Bill Moll has the main topic for the evening: “They Came From Outer Space” in anaglyph 3D.

Last month's meeting was a talk on old stereo cards of the West, followed by a viewmaster presentation of Las Vegas as it has changed from the 1950's to the present.  [ed. note: If you ever need a lifeline call for Las Vegas hotel or early stripper trivia, our club has some really knowledgeable people.]

Hope to see you all there. FRIDAY DECEMBER 14th !!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember, the meeting is Friday, December 14th at 7:30 at the Congregational Church.  The church is at 2676 Clairmont Road (about 1 1/2 blocks south of I-85).

Included is a listing of past and present members.  There is also a page from The Technical Page by Charles Piper.  If getting a page every month or slow is too slow, you can buy the complete bound copy from Charles A. Piper, 26810 Fond du Lac Rd., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA  90274.

We are becoming better organized.  If your entry is incorrect, send me a note or call me.  We will actually track who is paid up as a member now.  Dues are due for 2002. We need the money to have a place to meet.  We are now paid up in the ISU for 2001-2004, but we have some other club memberships to pay.  The newsletter also costs money.

If you have concepts for a logo for NSA 2003 in Charleston or slides of Charleston, bring them to the meeting.  That is our first deliverable for Charleston!  Also, if you have a sound super 8 projector, call me.  Mine does not have sound  :-(
