Refocus That Please - by Mike Griffith

Last month's meeting of the PSA Traveling Exhibit was superb. As usual, the judges, which included Bert, Pete and Lamar, attempted to be impartial and fair, which only irritated those of us who wanted our "favorites". It is difficult to judge a program which has so many great views in it. (I still don't like the computer-generated views...)

This month's meeting is the THIRD FRIDAY OF THE MONTH - APRIL 19th.  The program is the PSA's Sequence Exhibit. These are short series of stereos that attempt to tell a story or just present like subjects. They range from "why did they do that" to "wow!, that's really great!" Always, a well-worth seeing show.

Dave Horton has Refreshments this month (again...).

I went to the Washington, DC photo show last month. This is an image-only show that's mainly stereoviews. There is always great material to be seen there, but buying has become increasingly difficult. Everyone is now pricing stuff on what they think it "might" bring on ebay. While I know we all like top-dollar for our material, I don't think that at a show every last piece should be priced as to an absolute end-buyer in mind. I'm just worried as to what the trade show will be like in Charleston in 2003. Hopefully, enough new material will be out and about by then that competition will be keen and active. We shall see...

We meet at the Congregational Church at 7:30. See you there!

In May, our last meet before we break for the summer, is on the 2nd Friday, May 10th. This is our Competition night, so you now have ONE MONTH warning.  Get your best slides together and give it a shot.

Remember, the meeting is on the third Friday, April 19th, at 7:30 at the Congregational Church.  The church is at 2676 Clairmont Road (about 1 1/2 blocks south of I-85).
