Refocus That Please - by Bill Moll

This month’s program will be Mike Griffith revealing the results of his research in "Suppressed Photos of Linclon's Assassination" and Non-Planar Stereography by Barney Johnson.  Non-Planar Stereography is the application of stereograms to curved surfaces like soda cans and cups.  Single Viewpoint Stereography is a method of making stereograms with one shot from an unmodified camera , or more commonly, with the use of 3D modeling software.  There will be door prizes!!   This is also the annual trade/sale night – so bring your excess 3D items.  Get there a bit early for the best deals :-)

The meeting is the 2nd Friday of this month – November 11. We will meet at 7:30 PM at the Congregational Church @ 2676 Clairmont Road (about 1 1/2 blocks south of I-85) This is the Church up the winding road, through the woods.  If you have any questions, call Bill @ 706-859-7726.

October meeting report:

There were 23 people at the October meeting.  Bert Arps provided two shows.  The first was images of his sister's farm in Indiana and of the old homestead just outside of Napoleon, Ohio.  We had seen some of these before.  The second was an artistic show – four ballerina pices amidst flowers.  Although Dodo claims to have seen some before, they were a surprise to the rest of us who had expected some fall color scenics.  It was an entirely different side of Bert and quite nice.

Since I hadn't arranged a judge for the competition, we used an audience judging procedure for the slides.  Each person voted for their five preferred slides.  The votes were totalled and the winners decided.  The results were similar to those at other clubs with audience voting – the votes were spread rather broadly.  Rather than being insulted by the scurilous remarks about my totalling the votes, I felt complimented that anyone thought that I remembered the number of my slides :-)
