Refocus That Please - by Bill Moll

This month’s program will be the International Stereo Club Competition judging, a slide mounting workshop by Steve Hughes and 3DFest 2005 planning.  Evening darkness is upon us, so the meeting will start with a short discussion of the 3DFest and then the ISSC judging, followed by refreshments provided by Steve and Suzanne Hughes.  We will then have the slide mounting workshop.

Other stuff

The 2nd Georgia 3DFest is partially planned.  In order to show off the fine work of club members, I propose that each club member contribute up to 8 slides and 8 cards for exhibit at the show.  Due to the limited number of display racks, we might have to limit the number of cards, depending upon the number of participants.  Since these would not be part of a traveling show, there won’t be a problem with providing original slides.  However, we would use a generic sound track, so the slides might not be changed on the beat.

I had an opportunity to visit the hotel for the Miami convention last month. The hotel is on the bay with a view toward South Beach and is on the people mover line.  We have lots of space.   We will need to be creative in how to realize the opportunities presented.  If you don’t want to go outside to experience the fresh sea breeze, we will have plenty of activities inside.  Mark your calendars for July 11-17, 2006 to attend the convention.  It will be the most spectacular ever.
