Refocus That Please - by Bill Moll
This month’s program will be Club competition night and the PSA Sequence show. The competition is for up to four realist format slides and up to four stereocards in Homes, Viewmagic or DSEC format. If you bring Viewmagic format cards, bring a viewer or alert me to bring one. We will have an outside judge, so let’s have a big turnout.
There were 21 people at the April meeting. The Old China show had great images. Unlike the commercial views, these didn’t appear to be posed scenes. Steve’s slide mounting workshop was the best that I have seen – and this was just the alpha version!!
The facilities were what we need – plenty of space and a really public location. A downside is that there is a greater cost and the facility must be reserved by a DeKalb county resident no more than 3 months in advance. The other downside is that some long-time members and out-of-town members have a difficult time getting to a Monday meeting.
The meeting will be 7:00 PM on MONDAY, May 9, at the Chamblee Public Library. Note that the day, time and place have all changed. The library is located at 4115 Clairmont Road in Chamblee. From I-285 take exit 31A onto Peachtree Industrial Blvd heading south. In 1.8 miles turn left on Clairmont Rd. The library will be on your left in about ˝ mile. From I-85 take exit 91 heading North on Clairmont Rd. The library will be on your right in about 3 miles. The entrance is in back and the doors are locked at
8 PM, so don’t be too late.
If you would like to provide refreshments in May, call Marilyn Morton at 404-815-6798. If no one volunteers, it will be a social break instead of a refreshment break.
Beggars – I had previously thought that foot binding was a style only for the upper classes.
