Refocus That Please - by Bill Moll
This month’s program will be View-Master night and 4th Georgia 3D Fest planning. View-Master night is your opportunity to bring your favorite VM reels and have them projected. There is usually a lot of discussion that goes along with the projection. Personal VM reels are welcome. There will also be an opportunity to volunteer for the upcoming 3D Fest.
The meeting is the 2nd Friday of this month – December 8. We will meet at 7:30 PM at the Congregational Church @ 2676 Clairmont Road (about 1 1/2 blocks south of I-85) This is the Church up the winding road, through the woods. If you have any questions, call Bill Moll @ 706-859-7726.
November meeting report:
There were 14 attendees. The 4th Georgia 3D Fest will be held at the Decatur Holiday Inn Conference Center on February 17, 2007. After some discussion, the special evening projection will be a digital projection showcase, instead of highlighting the work of a specific, noted 3D photographer. Suggestions for the digital shows included Highway USA, some of John Hart's work and Klutho's Sport's illustrated show.
Mike Griffith showed photos from and discussed the personal photo album of President Millard Fillmore (Whig, 1850-1853), which he recently acquired. It is one of the few such albums in a private collection. Mike had a story to tell about many of the photos and is looking forward to figuring out the rest of the photos' stories. [Ed. note- too bad they aren't stereoviews J]
Julia Moor provided refreshments. Then the club judged the International Stereo Club Competition. As usual, there were many fine images.
